Review Process Guidelines

On this website, amid our informational, advisory and other original content, we display ads and sometimes show you products which are as relevant to you as we can imply from the search terms that brought you here.

Additionally, we sometimes create reviews of certain of these products. Websites (and even physical retail outlets) although they may have every reason to believe in the quality of the products they represent, generally cannot and do not individually test them all. Also, practically speaking, we cannot test a selection of weight-loss products if we ourselves do not need to lose weight, or personally vouch for a quit smoking product if we do not smoke.

However, we can provide our users with reviews which, if anything, give a better, more reliable overview of a product's merits and faults than a single (possibly biased) product user's experience or opinion could.

We do this by creating an overall review from the collected experience and commentary of a number of product users and reviewers PLUS what we ourselves have been able to glean. We do this in the following way:

1. We seek text, audio or video material relating to the product (this may include user comments, testimony and criticism, reviews, information presented by the merchant, background data not generally available to the public and other miscellaneous content. 
2. We assemble this information into a clear summary of points which expresses a mixed, balanced overview of the product, adding to this our own overall impressions.  

"Good" Products Policy [Ratings]

On this website you may discover that many of the products reviewed are awarded high (4 or 4+ star) ratings. This is not merely an artificial ratings boost to increase product sales, quite the reverse: it is our policy only to review products which should "sell themselves" and which deserve high ratings. In this way, you are only presented with "good" products from which to choose and the sales take care of themselves.

Misleading Information

If at any time (regarding the products we either advertise or review) we become aware that we have been deceived by collusions which distribute distorted information, multiple false testimonies, fake commentary and other such (not always initially detectable or provable) practices, we will act in accordance with our Misrepresentation And Rejection Policy which you may view on our Product Quality Guidelines page.
